APPLICATIONS:
The applications are available as of October 1st, 2012 for the 2013-14 Fiscal Year. The Annual Budget Application (ABA) is attached to this email and can also be found on the Student Government website at http://fgcusg.com. The applications consist of several different worksheets within the Excel document, so please look at the bottom tabs to ensure you have completed the entire application. Also, you will only be required to type in the GREEN boxes throughout the document. Please thoroughly review your ABA before printing it. Make sure to print out the entire workbook; electronic copies will not be accepted! ABA’s are to be turned into the Multicultural and Leadership Development Center in Cohen Center Room 255 by 12 noon on Friday, November 2, 2012. LATE ABA’s WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!
PLEASE NOTE: Application must be completed and printed from a Windows program, not MAC due to formatting issues. It will not print appropriately from MAC.
BUDGET FORUMS:
These workshops will provide you with a chance to ask any questions you have about the ABA’s and learn how to prepare them in the appropriate manner. These workshops are not mandatory; however, IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ATTEND A BUDGET FORUM. The Student Government Senate Appropriations Committee along with the SG Coordinator will provide important facts with regards to following the SG Finance Code and tips for filling out the ABA. HEARINGS:
When ABA’s are submitted, your registered student organization or department will schedule your budget hearing. BUDGET HEARINGS ARE MANDATORY – IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND A SCHEDULED BUDGET HEARING, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE FUNDING. The hearings will take place on Tuesday, November 13th – Monday, November 19th (excluding the weekend). The times available will vary per day, so please turn your ABA in as soon as possible to ensure your time slot. Registered Student Organizations will be allotted 15 minutes and University Departments will be allotted 30 minutes to present your budget application to the Appropriations Committee.
